Lowry Town Center Welcomes Two Specialty Shops

DENVER - Lowry recently welcomed two new businesses to the Lowry Town Center in Savory Spice and Modern Ewe.

Mike Johnston and his wife Janet are opening their fourth Savory Spice store in the metro area. Savory Spice opened in October and offers a large variety of seasonings and spices. The spices are ground fresh in small, weekly batches at the original Savory Spice location on Platte Street near downtown. Savory Spice offers its spices for sale in sizes as little as half an ounce or as big as a bottle. The shop also offers extracts and sauces.

“We are having lots of new customers that are overwhelmed and overjoyed,” Johnston said. “We’re feeling at home in our new location. Lowry has such a great community feel.”

The Savory Spice is open Monday through Sunday. For more information, call 303-364-2188 or visit www.savoryspiceshop.com.

Modern Ewe also recently joined the Lowry Town Center. Dana Juncker is thrilled to open her first store dedicated to knitting. Modern Ewe sells yarn supplies in an open and airy setting. Juncker’s dog Chloe is the official store greeter. Modern Ewe also offers private knitting lessons for adults and children. After Jan. 1, group lessons will also be available.

A graphic design major in college and an avid knitter since age 15, Juncker is glad to be out sharing her passion with others. “I have my dream job at age 23,” she said. “I’m so happy to be sharing my love of knitting with others. Lowry is such a great location because I have an opportunity to reach both younger families and veteran knitters.”

Modern Ewe is open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, call 303-366-6601.
