Lowry Lands First "Green" Building
Denver,
CO -- Lowry will soon have its first “green” commercial building. The Lowry Redevelopment Authority and Coughlin & Company, Inc. announced plans for Rampart IV, a 40,000-square-foot office building located at 150 Spruce Street in the Lowry Business Park.
The three-story building will be constructed to meet the standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance “green” building.
“We are very excited to have our first “green” project,” said Thomas Markham of the Lowry Redevelopment Authority. “Since the beginning, the Lowry redevelopment has been based on forward-thinking principles, and Rampart IV’s is certainly in line with that. We are pleased that Coughlin & Company has again chosen Lowry for this new, first-class project.”
In addition to being LEED-certified, Rampart IV will have a farm of solar panels on its roof, generating enough power to meet the energy needs of the building’s common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and main hallways.
“We are committed to building a ‘new century’ building, constructed to the highest design, environmental and energy standards,” said Michael Coughlin, executive vice president of Coughlin & Company. “It is our vision that Rampart IV will be a future landmark in Lowry.”
Coughlin & Company is not new to Lowry. The Denver-based commercial real estate company developed three Denver Landmark Buildings in Lowry, now collectively called Rampart Campus. After a rigorous restoration effort in each building, Coughlin & Company was able to produce three award-winning projects that now house several leading medical practices and companies, including NetFlicks and Colorado Allergy & Asthma Centers.
Rampart IV is expected to open in 2008. Coughlin & Company has started pre-leasing Rampart IV for users needing 5,000 - 30,000 sq. ft. For more information, contact Michael Coughlin at 303-863-1900.
