Lowry - A Rich Past
One of the things we hear the most from our Lowry residents and business people is how much they appreciate the historic flavor that remains in such a pronounced way around the Lowry community. From the elm-enshrouded Air Corps officers quarters to the storied Eisenhower Chapel, Lowry is steeped in rich pre-and post World War II Americana. Lowry Air Force Base was on the 1991 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) list and closed in September 1994.
