Vanguard Classical School (VCS) is a public, tuition-free charter school opening this fall for the 2007-2008 school year. The brand new facility at 801 Yosemite Street is under construction and will be completed in June 2007. VCS will open offering kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade and expand one grade per year until it reaches the eighth grade. All students benefit from a rigorous, content-rich, educational program that develops academic potential and personal character. There will be a defined standard of appearance and a regulated campus. Challenges, Choices and Images (CCI) Literacy and Technology Charter School

This middle and high school program has operated at Lowry since 2005. As a Denver Public Schools Charter School, CCI has a African-centered foundation, which is the cornerstone of our character development efforts, but serves children of all ethnic backgrounds. Kaleidoscope Corner

Located at the Lowry Elementary School, Kaleidoscope Corner provides before and after school child care for children ages 5 to 12. Before school care is available from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.; after school care is available from 3:40 to 6 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, character development and dramatic play, science exploration, and homework centers.
