Founded in 1958 by the Catholic Archdiocese of Denver, Bishop
Machebeuf High School is named in honor of Colorado's
first missionary priest. Students, both Catholic and non-Catholic,
participate in a school distinguished by its college preparatory
environment, its ethnic heritage, and its commitment to offer
quality academics, athletics and extracurricular activities
in a community of faith. The school is located at Uinta Way
and Sixth Avenue Parkway.
The New America
School

The New
America School is a public high school dedicated to providing
intensive English language instruction to non-native English
speaking young adults, ages 16 to 20. Through a liberal arts
education, students will have the opportunity to work towards
a high school diploma or prepare for the GED. The school is
open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday and from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Classes are available for
full- and part-time students.

This middle
and high school program has operated at Lowry since 2005.
As a Denver Public Schools Charter School, CCI has a African-centered
foundation, which is the cornerstone of our character development
efforts, but serves children of all ethnic backgrounds. Parents
choose CCI because of its rigorous academic curriculum, a
drug- and gang-free environment, caring teachers and staff,
and a strong commitment to productive citizenship.
