Retail

Where will retail be located?

The current plan recommends that retail development occur within the mixed-use development areas on the eastern and western edges of the property with access from Lowry Blvd. There is a node of proposed mixed-use development at the intersection of Lowry Blvd. and Poplar, and a second smaller node on Lowry Blvd., one block to the east of Monaco.

How much retail and office space is proposed?

The plan proposes approximately 200,000 square feet of retail and office space. This is divided as approximately 160,000 square feet of retail and 40,000 square feet of office space. In comparison, the current Lowry Town Center has 466,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.

Will the plan provide detail to the community with exactly what kind of retail will go in the Buckley Annex?

Not necessarily. The plan submitted to the Air Force will provide a range for square feet of retail. Considering that the developer of the property is unknown, the redevelopment plan must allow for flexibility.
